What record-me keeps on your phone, what it sends to Deep Thought Cloud, and how you delete it.
On your phone
- Your recordings, in the app's own storage, until you delete them or remove the app.
- Your sign-in, in the iOS Keychain. Your username and password are stored there too, but only if you turn on "Remember credentials".
- Your settings, such as the transcription language.
The microphone
record-me uses the microphone only while you record. If you leave the app during a recording, it keeps recording — iOS shows that it is, until you stop.
Sent to Deep Thought Cloud
- The recordings you upload, with the tags you add to them.
- Your account details: username, e-mail address, and the name and language you give when you set up the account.
- A device token for notifications, only if you allow notifications.
- Six usage events: signing in, signing out, starting a recording, stopping one (with its length), uploading, and opening a transcript (with the transcript's identifier). No search text, no tag names, no recording content.
Who processes it
Everything the app sends goes to Deep Thought Cloud, operated by Dolutions AB. How it is processed, where, and for how long is set out in Deep Thought's privacy policy — it is the one that applies. The usage events are counted with doable.services, the analytics service Deep Thought's websites use, without your username or any account identifier.

Deleting it
In the app: Settings → Delete account. That deletes your account and everything stored with it in Deep Thought Cloud. Recordings still on your phone are removed when you delete them in the app or remove the app.
